The development of a cardiac calculator for the risk of vascular aging is based on a prognostic model for determining the probable risk of developing vascular stiffness in patients with essential hypertension (hereinafter referred to as EG). Determining the risk of developing vascular remodeling in patients with EG by calculating indicators of modifiable cardiovascular risk factors is aimed at optimizing the early diagnosis of patients with EG, controlling blood pressure and improving their quality of life.

Early diagnosis of the risk of developing vascular remodeling in patients with EG can be carried out in primary healthcare through non-invasive determination of 9 risk factors, including age, systolic blood pressure, daily salt intake, body mass index, determination of the lipid spectrum, in particular, high lipoprotein cholesterol levels density and triglycerides, blood glucose, smoking, as well as the thickness of the intima-media complex, which are included in the standards examination of patients with EG.

The use of a cardiac calculator for its intended purpose makes it possible to optimize drug and non-drug therapy for EG and combat identified risk factors, which contributes to the reverse development of premature vascular aging in patients with EG.
