STEM Parent is the first tool designed to empower parents to excel in their student‘s personal career management. Parents are the single greatest factor in driving their students’ career success and in ensuring that they do not become one of the 70% of workers whose career choice does not match their aspirations.

-Mentorship on the LifeJourney platform is provided securely at internet scale. Leading global companies nominate one or more of their people to become LifeJourney mentors. The mentor’s career journey is an interactive web experience called a LifeJourney enabling the student to experience the soft skills and hard skills needed to pursue that career. Students can change mentors and understand how to connect their passion to their future.

-Notification-driven alerts from our mentors utilizing LifeJourney’s cloud-based messaging system guide your son or daughter though six of the most important milestone decisions that determine their future success — understanding their passion, test-driving future careers, selecting an industry mentor, building skills not taught in school, selecting a college major, and landing the right internships. Notifications keep you informed of your student’s progress and preferences along the way.

Find out how your understanding of your son’s or daughter’s future compares with their view — a unique comparison that adds value, sparking family discussion and helping you better plan for their future. STEM Parent’s short enjoyable exercises on career personality testing, career values, top companies to work for, and soft skills let you compare your responses.

STEM Parent is designed to work in tandem with LifeJourney’s MyCareerJourney web application for students. A MyCareerJourney subscription delivers the mentorship experience and student-parent comparison exercises to students. Parents using STEM Parent have the opportunity to link to students who have a MyCareerJourney student journey subscription.
