In Diya Aur Baati Hum, the story revolves around Sandhya’s torment, who dreams of becoming an IPS officer and to break the bounds of her enslaved present middle-class class character. Suraj is a successful man who owns the well-known sweet house close to his house.

The two were forced to get married. Sandhya wasn’t able to finish her school because she was ardently blackmailed to marry Suraj. Later, she became part of a family that she hardly knows. Her mother-in-law doesn’t accept that she will soon be a police officer.

The story describes the relationship of a husband to his wife and how his wife can acquire strength and help in achieving her dreams.Sandhya however, becomes an IPS. She even won the best cadet award and became a Pushkar’s ASP.
