"T Heerlens Heitje is the digital currency of and for Heerlen. Install the app and earn digital coins by doing odd jobs: clean up a bench or clear a trash can from ugly stickers. With those earned coins you go for a bite to eat or go to a cinema. It's possible in Heerlen! Citizens earn heats by doing odd jobs and pay with those heats at the participating entrepreneurs. Good for the city, residents and entrepreneurs.

With this concept, Heerlen is giving an innovative twist to the former 'heitje for job'.

"T Heerlens Heitje is an initiative of the Municipality of Heerlen in collaboration with CoTown, Heerlen My City, Brightlands Smart Services Campus, neighborhood organization Grasboek-Musschemig-Schandelen, Statistics Netherlands and the Association of Dutch Municipalities. The project is financially supported by the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) fund of the European Union.
