LSM.lv: Reliable news

LSM.lv is the unified news portal of Latvian Radio and Latvian Television. On the pages of the portal, you can get acquainted with news and information and analytical materials that are jointly created by employees of these two enterprises.

The heading “On the air” publishes personal opinions of employees of the Latvian Radio, Latvian Television and the editors of the portal, as well as involved authors. The materials published in this section, as well as in the authors' profiles on social networks Twitter and Facebook, do not reflect the official opinion of the editors of LSM.lv.

The creation of the portal was provided by the program of the Cabinet of Ministers for the solidarity of society, national identity and strengthening the positions of the state language in the spring of 2012. In this regard, in the fall of 2012, the government allocated 82.3 thousand lats for the development of the portal. Another 50 thousand lats were allocated to support the portal until 2015 (inclusive).

Portal LSM.lv officially launched on February 3, 2013.
