A book by Nicolau Machiavelli

Machiavelli is a classic author of Political Science and one of its precursors, as suggested a new way of analyzing policy: analysis of specific forms of political action, that is, to see politics as it is and not as it should be. To this end, Machiavelli breaks with earlier writers who treated of becoming policy, for example, Erasmus of Rotterdam, who wrote Handbook perfect Christian prince.

In his book, Machiavelli is a description rather than a prescription. Thus, he proposes the modern notion of scientific objectivity and analyzes the policy according to the disposition of political actors and their actions. And it should be emphasized that Machiavelli works many practical ideas, but not limited to moral ideas.
