The Book of Jubilees is a Jewish religious text believed to have been written sometime between 200 and 100 BCE. C. It is a narrative account of the history of the creation of the world and of the Jewish people, and contains many additional details not found in the Old Testament.

The book is structured around a calendar of jubilees, which are periods of 49 years. Each jubilee is divided into seven weeks of seven years, and each week is divided into seven days. The book follows this calendar to tell the story of the creation of the world, the fall of Adam and Eve, the flood, the birth of Abraham, and the story of the patriarchs and prophets.

The Book of Jubilees also contains many details about Jewish laws and customs. It explains why certain festivals are celebrated, why certain rituals are kept, and why certain dietary laws are followed. The book also contains many prophecies about the future of the Jewish people.

The Book of Jubilees is not a canonical text for most branches of Christianity, but it is considered canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. It is also an important text for studies of the Bible and of ancient Judaism.
