Kaun Banega Crorepati Contestants are asked multiple choice questions and must select the correct answer from four possible choices, and are provided with lifelines that may be used if they are uncertain. Starting in season 7 in 2013, the top prize was ₹7 crore/- (70,000,000 rupees) and it was increased to ₹7.5 crore/- in Season 14 in 2022 to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence.
