It has been observed that most of the people who own houses in high density areas do not have Title Deeds. They own the houses either under council leases or Home Ownership Schemes. The houses merely provide shelter to these people. They do not provide any further value. These houses could be used as collateral security for loans by the home owners. Our people are deprived of credit facilities by this failure to obtain title deeds. Zimbabwe Property Owners Trust (ZIPOT) is a Non-Profit making National Organisation whose thrust is to ensure that every Zimbabwean who has a house or a stand to his/her name has title deeds to that property.
