The Mannarkad Muslim Orphanage Committee (MMOC) was established in the year 1977 at Mannrkkad Taluk in Palakkad District, with a farfetched aim to uplift the Muslim Community to the main stream, at the outset, the Darunnajath Orphanage Complex is to shoulder the responsibility of the guardianship of the orphans. The supports and blessings extended by Marhum Chappanangadi Bappu Musliar, Amanath Koyanni Musliar, E.K Hassan Musliar, Panakkad Sayyid Muhammedali Shihab Thangal and C H Muhammed Koya Sahib encouraged the noble persons of the Mannarkkad to set up the Darunnajath Orphanage Complex. The complex, which is an educational and cultural centre in the Mannarkkad city, started its functioning with a few institutions in it.
