Ananda Lahari meaning Waves of Bliss or Happiness is the first 41 verses of a 100+ verse Sanskrit Tantric Textbook called Soundarya Lahari.

A Hindu belief is that the verses of Ananda Lahari was handed over to sage Adi Shankara by Lord Shiva. The verses of Ananda Lahari sheds great light on the ancient rituals of Tantra, Yantra and various powerful Mantras. These verses describe the mystical experience of the union of Shiva and Shakti and related phenomena. In fact, it opens with the assertion that Only when Shiva is united with Shakti does he have the power to create. Durga and Kali are forms of Shakti. It is good for meditation and as prayer music.

The Soundarya Lahari meaning "Waves Of Beauty" is a famous literary work in Sanskrit believed to be written by sage Pushpadanta and Adi Shankara. These verses give instructions on Puja and offerings, many yantras, almost one to each shloka; and describes tantric ways of performing devotion connected to each specific shloka; and details the results ensuing therefrom.
