Litany - it is prayer. Prayer simple, but that does not mean that plate. Easy to recitation, singing. Thanks to praying the eyes and mouth, intellect, and will. They pray for the man's feelings. Prayer litany embraces the whole person. It introduces him to meditation, which is extremely difficult, but indispensable in the development of the internal form of a conversation with Jesus.



The litany is an intimate conversation. God reveals to man his heart. It turns out his obliging confidence. The man reciprocates his confidence from his side. In this conversation arises a bond of friendship between the landowners and the inhabitants of heaven.



There many faithful devotees proclaim their kindness and help for the brothers in need and in this way take with them unforgettable memories of the benefits and favors they have received from Our Lady Of Perpetual.

This litany to the Blessed Virgin Mary was composed during the Middle Ages. The place of honor it now holds in the life of the Church is due to its faithful use at the shrine of the Holy House at Loreto.

Litanies are to be found among the prayers to the Blessed Virgin recommended by the Magisterium. These consist of a long series of invocations of Our Lady, which follow in a uniform rhythm, thereby creating a stream of prayer characterized by insistent praise and supplication. The invocations, generally very short, have two parts: the first of praise, the other of supplication.

The liturgical books contain two Marian litanies: The Litany of Loreto, repeatedly recommended by the Roman Pontiffs; and the Litany for the Coronation of Images of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which can be an appropriate substitute for the other litany on certain occasions.
