Origami, formed from the word ori which means "folding" and the word gami which means "paper", is a paper-folding art introduced by Japanese culture. Perhaps most of you have been introduced to origami art during elementary school, which usually takes the shape of a bird as its prototype. Apparently, the art of this one is really old age, that is when Japan is still in the Edo period or ranged between the years 1603-1867. In those days, the paper used for origami was still in an irregular shape, in contrast to the present that utilizes square paper in varying colors as the medium. In addition, along with the development of the times, this origami art also helped develop in terms of aesthetics you know. Some of the works below are the result of folding paper creations that are made into 3 dimensions and require extra persistence than the usual paper folding works.
