Cerita Abu Nawas 1001 Malam

The story of Abu Nawas is funny and smart to be a useful entertainment.

Abu Nawas' original name is Abu Ali al-Hasan bin Hani al-Hakami. Born in 145 H (747 AD) in the city of Ahvaz in Persia (now Iran), from Arabian father and mother of Persia. His father, Hani al-Hakam, was a member of Marwan II's military legion. While his mother was named Jalban, a Persian woman who worked as a woolen washer.

His expertise in composing qoshidah poems made him so popular in various circles, that he was considered the leader of the poets of his day.

But unfortunately, the journey of his life many colored with disobedience, and that many also coloring his poems. So much so that he talked about the matter of khamr, to the extent that there is a collection of poems called khamriyyat.

Abu Amr Asy-Syaibani said, "If Abu Nuwas had not polluted his poetry with these dirt, his poems would have been made hujjah in our books."
