What is RCD?

Regional Conference of Dermatology (RCD) is the biennial official congress of the League of ASEAN Dermatological Societies (LADS). LADS was established in 1974. LADS comprises the national dermatological societies of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam. RCD is hosted in rotation by the national dermatological societies, supported by all the other member societies (speakers, delegates, publicity). LADS Council Meeting is also held every 2 years in conjunction with RCD - all Presidents and Honorary Secretaries of national dermatological societies are expected to attend.

RCD 2018 aims at exploring the main theme "Enhancing Evidence Based Dermatology Practice in Globalization Era", and the sub theme include are a) Evidence Based Dermatology, b) Dermatology Research Practice, c) Update on Tropical Infections, and Sexual Transmitted Diseases, d) New Development on Surgical Dermatology and Aesthetic Dermatology, e) Current Allergy Immunology in Dermatology, f) Update on Pediatric and Geriatric Dermatology.

RCD 2018 is supported by ASEAN Regional organization (LADS), the national society of Indonesian Dermatologist (Indonesian Society Dermatology and Venereology / PERDOSKI), and a leading university in Indonesia (Universitas Airlangga). The scientific committee strongly supports this conference consist of international and national members. The previous conference (2016) was attended by 1215 participants from 39 countries, not only from the South East Asian region but from all corners of the world including our partners and friends from dermatologists Anchorage office.

Through our various exciting and comprehensive plenary symposia, focus sessions, meet the expert sessions, workshops and resident sessions, the scientific program covered the spectrum of dermatology and aesthetic subspecialties. With world-renown speakers providing up-to-date lectures and interactive sessions, the conference was well received by all participants. This robust tradition will be maintained and continued in RCD 2018.
