In order to rescue the best of our cultural roots, the seed was planted

the "Brazil Root Project" in 1993. Conceived by journalist Alarico Rezende, Brazil Root newspaper, more precisely in August of that year, came to life.

In the early 1990s, before Brazil Root, the editor worked as a reporter at the Daily Country Team, the People's Daily (today Diário de São Paulo), working alongside Donizete Costa, Dirceu Soares, Pedro Vaz, Luiz Bertotti and Cristina Rufatto.

The Brazil Root every edition since 1993, seeks to tell some of the history of country music, samba, short of our cultural roots.
