During this long period of time, humans went through several stages of development, adaptation and evolution. Here is a summary of the main periods and events of Prehistory:

Paleolithic (2.5 million years - 10,000 BC): During this time, humans were nomadic hunter-gatherers who lived in caves or natural shelters. They used stone, wood and bone tools to hunt animals, collect plants and defend themselves. The fire was also discovered and controlled during this period.

Mesolithic (10,000 - 8,000 BC): This transitional phase was characterized by the development of more sophisticated tools, such as bows and arrows, as well as the beginning of the domestication of animals and the cultivation of plants.
