The most recent update to Fortnite, Chapter 4 Season 2, was released on March 8th, 2023. However, there is still five weeks remaining until the next season update, Chapter 4 Season 3. As we approach the release of this new season in Fortnite, dataminers have discovered information about upcoming additions such as cosmetic items and weapon changes through examining game files.

Although leaks have been disclosed before the new season, players should not fully trust them as the features and cosmetics may undergo alterations prior to their official release by Fortnite's developers.

New Large Biome

Epic Games has introduced a new large biome along with the Reality Tree in Chapter Four Season Three. Dataminers have suggested that the upcoming season will feature a rainforest and potentially a volcano element, indicating that the developer may be continuing with themes from the previous season. As a result, some players speculate that there could soon be a desert theme added to the game.

Changes to Map

The map may experience a sudden change, possibly by adding new cactus and palm trees that will impede players who run through the dirt. It is uncertain whether this change will occur during an event or just regular downtime. The addition of a new biome to an already crowded area makes it intriguing to see where it would be located.

New Battle Pass Skins

In the next battle pass, there will be a group of new skins that are encrypted and set to be added to the game. GMatrixGames shared on Twitter some examples of these upcoming skin codenames:

• CrispRover
• LoudPhoenix
• RippedHarvester
• SilentTempo
• ZirconSweep

The names used as codenames do not provide a full indication of the upcoming skins. However, there is speculation that the new season may have a theme related to fire based on words such as "Cinder," "Crisp," and "Phoenix" being mentioned.

New Summer-themed Vehicle: surfboard

FNChiefAko tweeted that there will be changes to the biome in Fortnite, and also mentioned a new vehicle called a surfboard that can hover above ground. This vehicle is similar to the hoverboard from previous versions of Fortnite and may have unique effects as well as being available as a new skin for players.
