Major Changes Ahead!
eFootball 2025 v4.2.0 set to make Unavailable players non-operational for matches and legacy transfers
- Unavailable Players and Managers are set to be rendered unusable from December.
- Post the eFootball 2025 v4.2.0 update, unavailable players cannot be employed in matches or for legacy transfers.
- Players can refer to the Unavailable List.
With the introduction of eFootball's 2025 season update by KONAMI, several licensing shifts were seen along with player transfers. Guaranteed actions based on these alterations were announced by KONAMI for future updates. In the forthcoming eFootball 2025 v4.2.0, 'Unavailable' Players and Managers will become inoperative.
- Owing to alterations in licenses and content, players and managers will get defunct in December 2024. These in-game players will be excluded from matches. In tandem, other features applicable to them like player development or manager strategies will get disabled.
- These players will also be prohibited from Legacy Transfers from v4.2.0. The players can only be discarded from your collection through the My Team menu. The images, graphics, or data of any unavailable players or managers will be replaced with anonymous placeholders.
- However, players and managers obtained post-version 4.0.0 will not be liable to this change. The unavailability is applicable only for those with a Standard card type among your Featured or POTWs. You can check the Extras > Support > Services and Info > Unavailable List to spot the unavailable player or manager.
- What should your next step be? Preferably, check the list to identify any present standard players. Legacy Transfers can be opted before marking them as unusable if you have attached extra skills to them. Based on your future plans, they can also be employed to train other players.
- From our perspective, the v4.2.0 update appears intriguing, especially with the rumored introduction of a new Player Trading feature. The change in player dynamics and a potentially superior update from KONAMI make it more interesting.
