Brawl Stars' highly anticipated Classic Brawl Update has arrived, bringing a wave of exciting new content and nostalgic features to the popular mobile game. The update, released on June 25th, introduces two new brawlers, significant character reworks, and a host of classic-inspired additions that are sure to delight both new and veteran players alike.
New Brawlers: Clancy & Berry
The Classic Brawl update introduces two new brawlers to the roster. Clancy, a Mythic damage dealer, brings a unique token-based upgrade system to his attacks. As Clancy hits enemies, he collects tokens that improve his abilities through three stages, culminating in increased firepower and movement speed. Berry, an Epic support brawler, uses melted ice cream to both damage enemies and heal allies. Berry's Super allows him to dash forward while spreading his icy concoction, making him a versatile addition to any team composition.

Several existing brawlers have received significant reworks to improve their balance and gameplay. Frank now gains attack speed as his health decreases, while Meg's mecha form shoots more projectiles but with reduced damage and range. Chester's Star Power has been integrated into his base kit, giving him a new four-stage attack sequence and a powerful new Star Power option.
New Hypercharges
The update introduces exciting new Hypercharges for select brawlers. Barley can now throw massive brews that destroy bushes, Piper gains enhanced mobility and destructive power, and Frank's Super now affects a full circle around him. Other brawlers like Emz, Angelo, Gale, and Rico also receive powerful new Hypercharge abilities that dramatically alter their playstyles.
Mega Boxes & Classic Game Modes
In a nod to Brawl Stars' earlier days, Mega Boxes have made a triumphant return. Additionally, two classic game modes have been reintroduced, offering players a nostalgic trip down memory lane with gameplay reminiscent of the game's 2019 era.
New Skins
The update coincides with the launch of the "Gods vs. Monsters" season, bringing with it a slew of mythologically-inspired skins. Players can now battle as Poseidon R-T, Dionysus Angelo, Medusa Emz, Minotaur Bull, Harpy Melodie, and Athena Piper.
Additional Update Changes
The Classic Brawl Update also includes various quality-of-life improvements and balance adjustments:
- Social features have been enhanced to make teaming up with friends easier.
- The "play again" function has been improved to maintain teams between matches.
- Also, many other changes have been made to character balance, quests, the community slot, ranked mode, and map, as well as bug fixes.
