- The goal of the game is to collect as few penalty cards as possible, or to collect all penalty cards.

- Hearts and Queen of Spades are penalty cards. Each heart card is worth 1 point, and the queen of spades is worth 13 points.

- If the player collects all penalty cards and Q♠ you get 0 points and your opponent gets 26 points. This is called "shooting the moon".

-Hearts and Q♠ can be played under certain conditions: if you have no other cards to play, or if other people are "broken". You can't do it the first time.

- The player reaches 100 points and the game ends. The winner of the game is the person with the lowest score.
