LINE is an instant messaging app that enables text messages, voice calls, and video calls, available for both one-on-one and group interactions. It supports communication across multiple devices, including mobile, desktop, and Wear OS smartwatches. Users can send and receive text, images, voice messages, videos, and files.

Security

All LINE conversations are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring only the intended recipient can access the content. An optional PIN code lock adds an extra layer of protection for message privacy.

LINE Pay

LINE Pay allows users to send money to others, pay at compatible stores, or split expenses within a group. Payments can be made by linking a credit or debit card, with a QR code scanner available to facilitate transactions or add friends.

LINE VOOM

LINE VOOM offers a short video platform where users can explore content created by others, follow accounts, and stay updated on friends’ posts.

Customization Options

Stickers, Emojis, and Themes: Users can enhance messages with animated stickers and emojis. Themes to personalize the app are available in a store, with prices ranging from 50 to 150 coins (some free, most paid). Themes can also be gifted to others.

Camera Effects: The LINE camera feature supports front-facing photo and video capture with effects, stickers, and animations for dynamic content creation.

Home Tab: Provides quick access to friends lists, birthdays, the sticker shop, and other LINE services.
