Established in the year 1943 by Sri. Maman Chohan in memory of his father, Sri. Raman, RMVHSS Perinjanam is one of the oldest & largest schools in the Manappuram region. In 1949 the school got Government approval. The school was managed by Raman Memorial Trust. After the demise of Sri. Maman Chohan, his son Sri. V.M. Sreenivasan took over the charge. In 1980, after the demise of Sri. M.V. Sreenivasan, his son Sri. V.S Ranjith became the manager. Vocational Higher Secondary Education was started in the year 1991 with two batches of Medical Laboratory Technology. Next year one batch each of Refrigeration & Air-conditioning & General Insurance (Now Banking & Insurance Services) was started. In 1996 the school was handed over to Sreelakshmi Charitable & Educational Trust and the present manager of the school is Sri. V.G. Mohanan. Manager’s wife Smt. Fathima Mohan is the correspondent of this school. In 2000 one batch each of Maintenance & Repairs of Automobiles (Now Automobile Technology) & Travel & Tourism was started. In 2003 unaided English medium LP section was started. Higher Secondary Section was started in the year 2014 with one science batch. Next year one commerce batch was sanctioned. At present more than 2000 students are studying in the school and is one of the biggest educational institutions in the coastal belt of Thrissur district.

Dr. Anil Kumar. R, is the current Principal of the VHSE section. The functioning of the VHSE section is very well organized with well planned academic and non academic activities and maintains high level of discipline. Highly dedicated staff work in harmony for the overall development of the students.

The school maintains high level of academic performance year by year and the students perform extremely well in public examinations. The school also has a very good record in extracurricular activities. Students’ performances in Arts and Sports festivals at various levels are really outstanding. Students are provided on a continuous basis with Career Guidance and Counseling Classes, Leadership Camps, Educational Seminars, Personality Development Workshops etc.. More than 20 different Clubs function in the school along with NSS, NCC and Scout & Guides. The school has also started Civil Service Coaching for its students in 2016. The school has an active PTA providing full support to the Teachers and Management for the progress of the school.

The school is expected to climb new heights with the management keen to develop infrastructure facilities with a vision to make the school Hi-Tech in the near future.
