The literal meaning of Bhagavad Gita is “the song of the Lord”. Composed as a poem in Sanskrit, it contains many key topics related to the Indian intellectual and spiritual tradition. It consists of 18 brief chapters and about 700 verses and is a part of the epic narrative - MahaBharat.
