Axxon SMS Sender

Enables Android devices to act as an SMS relay for Intellect.

Purpose

The Axxon SMS Sender app enables Android devices to send and receive SMS (Short Message Service) messages on behalf of Intellect-based systems. The SMS module in Intellect sends messages to phones; messages contain information on alarms recorded in Intellect. The module also allows receiving SMS messages, which in turn trigger actions in Intellect.

Features

Intellect connects to the Axxon SMS Sender app, which is installed on an Android device, and uses the device like a GSM modem. Intellect can send and receive SMS messages via the app, which can also receive confirmation of SMS delivery and forward the relevant events to Intellect.

Easy to set up

The Axxon SMS Sender interface is convenient and intuitive. To connect to an Intellect server, specify the name of the computer (Windows name) and, if necessary, its IP address. Then tap Connect. The Android device then becomes available in the SMS configuration panel in Intellect. SMS configuration is then completed according to the usual process as described in the documentation.

Network topology requirements

For Intellect and Axxon SMS Sender to work together, the relevant Intellect server and Android device must be on the same local network (for example, connected to the same access point).
