Klitoria trifoliate ( Clitoria ternatea ) evergreen herbaceous flowering plant kind of sort of Klitoria family of Legumes. The species range occupies the entire tropical part of Asia.

Cultivated as a garden ornamental plant sometimes as an indoor plant. It is used as a medicinal plant in scientific and traditional medicine. In Australia it is used for reclamation of coal mine sites.

The pedicel is twisted 180 degrees so the oars with the boat are not in the lower part of the corolla as in other plants with a corolla of this type but in the upper one. Flowering time is from May to September.
