About Hindu horai - Grahas

See hindu horais, raghu kalam, yama gandam, kuligai at a glance

All horais are calculated based on the sunrise time.

Each horai lasts for 1 hour.

Each horai has a color:

Sun - red

Venu - white

Mercury - green

Moon - white

Saturn - black

Jupiter - yellow

Mars - orange

These colors are shown on the the screen. Should you not want them, see the settings screen to turn it off.

Sunrise time can be set on the settings screen. More on this in the sections below.

All horais are calculated based on the sunrise time.

Each horai lasts for 1 hour.

Saturn - black

Jupiter - yellow

Mars - orange

Now tab:

Shows the horai in progress. Based on the screenshot, Saturn horai is active and ends at 05:00 hours.

The top heading shows the horai english name and the time when it's going to end.

Below the horai name is the horai picture and then comes the horai detials.

Rules : Horai's influence on the individual

Do's: Activities that would benifit us during this horai.

Don'ts: Activities to be avoided during this time.

Favorable days: Days when this horai has a positive effect.

Less favorable days: Horai effect is not so strong during these days.

Unfavorable days: These are days when the horais is detrimental to us. It's better to avoid starting new tasks during this time.

If we leave the screen active, the horai will automatically refresh to the next time duration.

Today tab:

Current horai is on the top of the screen.

The previous horais can be viewed by scrolling up. Remaining horais for the day can be viewed by scrolling down.

Say the time is 11:30 PM (23:30 hours).

Next day starts at 00:00 hours. As a consequence, the last horai will not scroll up to the top of the screen. Instead, horai can be seen on the screen towards the end.

If we leave this screen active, the horais will automatically refresh to the next day at 12:00 midnight.

Search tab:

Pick a day / date to see the horais for that day / date.

About tab:

All horais are listed here. Click on any horai to learn more about it.

Settings tab:

For those of us where the sunrise is not 6 AM, we can set the time to view horais based on it.

Colors:

To view horais without the background color, we can switch off the colors and view the results on other screens.

The about screen is shown without colors when the colors setting is set to not show colors.

Horai detail screen:

Click on any horai in the list to see a bottom sheet popup to show the details.

Tap the back button to close the screen.

RAGHU KALAM

Shows the Raghu kalam times throughout the week with the current day highlighted.

The highlight autorefreshes to the next day at 12:00 midnight.

The same detail holds true for yama gandam and kuligai tabs on the top.
