French Defense

French Defense: Classical, Advance & Exchange variation watching PGN chess games

The French Defense (1.e4 e6) together with the Sicilian Defense and the Caro-Kann Defense are surely the strongest defenses for black pieces.

In this app we will study the French Defense by visualizing chess games in PGN format and specifically 3 of its variants:

- Classical Variation (ECO C14)

- Advance Variation (ECO C02)

- Exchange Variation (ECO C01)

We will leave for a second part of the app other different variants such as the Tarrasch Variation, Winawer Variation and the McCutcheon Variation that are also necessary to know to master this defense and learn chess in general.
