What is it:

Themed Audio Translator (TAT) provides you with much needed audio translations when travelling to a country that does not speak your language. Use TAT to help you communicate your intentions to people who do not understand you. This includes your interactions at work in the restaurant, retail, hotel and airline sectors. TAT is a must have for all avid travellers!

~ Important Note ~

Text-to-Speech engines need to be downloaded separately. You can do so under 'Settings -> Language & Input -> Text-to-Speech Options'.

If you have a Samsung phone, download the high quality one from the Samsung store for free!

This application wouldn't work right without the right engines installed.

Disclaimer / README:

1) This application is optimized for the English language, but a non-English speaking user can still use the application to translate between his/her own language and another foreign language.

2) Translations are quite accurate for English, Chinese (Simplified) and Chinese (Traditional). Translations are available for other languages, and are generally accurate for short words or phrases. But the translations can get quite off-track for longer expressions and questions. The aim of this application is to at least partially communicate the meaning of your intentions so that someone can understand and help you, not establishing a flawless communication. While we will eventually improve the translations of the list of words available, be prepared to laugh it away if the person cast you a confused look while using TAT.

3) Sound Quality is dependent on device speakers. Tablets and external speakers generally provide better sound quality.
