3D Gimbal Compass with Euler angle display. (Roll, Pitch, Yaw)
This beautifully rendered 3D Compass utilizes advanced sensor fusion algorithms, to combine data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. This allows the compass to remain stable and accurate, yet instantly respond to changes in tilt and orientation. Known issues:
The compass may act erratic during downloads, due to magnetic interference from the Wifi, GSM or Bluetooth radios. For best results, turn them off, and stand clear of magnetic interference and metallic objects.
The accuracy of the magnetic sensor may vary on different devices, particularly when the device is held at certain angles. Some suggest rotating and waving the device in a figure-8, to help the magnetic sensor re-calibrate itself.
