In Matthew 11:12 we see that the Kingdom of God comes with power. We also see that there is another side to this verse that we have not discussed, namely that because the Kingdom of God comes with great power, then people will respond quite hard as well. There will be some who support and some will refuse. There will be completely opposite responses.

Today, however, we will go further into the matter of carrying this cross, and see what it means to carry the cross in our daily lives. In Luke 14:27, Jesus says, "Whoever does not take up his cross and follow me can not be my disciple." Jesus said that if you do not do this you can not be his disciple. That is, you can not be a Christian if you do not do this. And it also means that you can not be saved if you do not follow him. If anyone tells you something different, then that means he is declaring something different from what Jesus himself says.
