# 1. Straight lines are key, so use a straight edge whenever you can. Rulers are a go-to but anything flat and sturdy will do.

# 2. Be aware of the angles of lines. Cubes, for instance, require parallel lines to give them their shapes, while cones can have a variety of angles. Compare angles by holding your pencil up to the lines. If they match, you're probably okay. If you want to get really technical, you can use a protractor.

# 3. Whenever possible, draw with a pencil to get the angles and lines correct. Remember that erasers are your friend.
