The Holy Koran is the sacred word of Allah transmitted to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) by divine revelation over a period of twenty years. It is the Holy Scripture of Islam showing the true and perfect way to salvation. It contains a complete code teachings and laws in accordance with the needs of each era and provides a means for the moral and spiritual development of all mankind as well as the remedy for their ills. The Holy Quran explains the true goal of human existence, which is to worship and serve Allah, his Creator, and get close to him.

The Holy Koran is divided into chapters and verses. It has one hundred and fourteen chapters. The chapter is called "sura" and each has a specific name and a variable number of verses. The verses are called "ayah". The Holy Quran is divided into thirty parts so it can be completed in the month of Ramadan.
