Blue Lock is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yūsuke Nomura. This manga began to be published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018, and has been bundled into twenty-one tankōbon volumes.

Yoichi Isagi is just moments away from scoring the goal that would send his high school soccer team to the nationals, but the split-second decision to pass the ball to a teammate costs him that reality. Bitter, confused, and disappointed, Isagi wonders if the outcome would have been different had he not made it through. When the young striker returned home, an invitation from the Japan Football Union awaited him. Through an arbitrary and biased decision-making process, Isagi was one of three hundred U-18 strikers selected for a controversial project called Blue Lock.

The main goal of this project is to turn one of the selected players into the star striker of the Japanese national team. To find the best entrant, each diamond must compete against the others through a series of solo and team competitions to rise to the top. Despite his ethical objections to the project, Isagi felt compelled to fight his way to the top, even if it meant destroying the dreams of 299 young aspiring strikers.
