Bibenda 2023, the guide that wasn't there, was born in 1999 to satisfy an audience of enthusiasts of good drinking and good living who, when choosing a wine, are looking not for a simple orientation but for news, data, certainties. The guide book grows over the years, with a view to giving shape to the wishes of its readers. From the outset, the Bibenda guide has been the most complete publication in the sector, with over two thousand wineries and about 27,000 wines and all their data, from type to price, to evaluation, completed by the description of the processing techniques, tasting and from the combination with food, suggested according to the school and method of the Italian Sommelier Foundation. The same methodology is applied to Grappa, extra virgin olive oil and Restaurants, the other three sections of the guide. 300 oil companies, 2000 quality restaurants: information, contacts and websites of wineries, distilleries, oil mills, research and geographical location of companies.

THE WINE

Region by region. The producers with their wines, descriptions, pairings, longevity, denominations of origin. How to go to wineries for quality tourism. The wines are reported with all the information, the sensory analysis, the processing method, information on the vineyards, the cultivation method, for each wine at least one pairing or two. The evaluation of quality from two to five Bunches.

THE OIL

The best Italian producers of quality extra virgin olive oil. An Italian heritage unrivaled in the world. The best oils in Italy from the last oil campaign. A section that is updated in record time in the same spring of the reference year of the last oil campaign, following the 2022 oil campaign. This section will be updated in March 2023 with tastings of the oils from the last harvest.

Over 300 Italian companies producing extra virgin olive oil, the best production in our country. Tastings of all the oils produced, selected and evaluated from two to five drops, according to the School and Method of the Italian Oil Sommelier Association ®.

THE GRAPPA

Bibenda 2023 contains an overall overview for this distillate of the best Italian production. For these glasses, reserved at the end of a good menu, we have also given some suggestions for a pairing that is not only pleasant, but which can turn out to be exciting.
