About the author of the book:

He is the Hafiz, the jurist, Sayyid Ahmed bin Zaini Dahlan Al-Hasani Al-Hashimi Al-Qurashi Al-Makki, the Imam of the Two Holy Mosques, the Shafi’i mufti and jurist and the Sheikh of the scholars of the Hijaz in his time at the end of the Ottoman Caliphate. A about Wahhabism, and criticized some aspects of the doctrine.

He was born in Makkah al-Mukarramah in the year 1231 AH corresponding to 1816 AD, and he grew up and was raised there, and the house of Dahlan in Makkah was known as the house of knowledge, religion and knowledge. Many scholars and historians have talked about them, and they have demonstrated their merit in serving the religion and science and its people.
