Word Memorizer - study, memorization of English words and phrases, dictionary

WordMemorizer is a free program to help you memorize English words.

To start learning, you need to select the category (s) of words so that the words of this category appear.

There are 3 training options:

- choose the correct translation from the options provided, or

- write (dictate) the translation of a word or

- a complex option: for each word, a choice of a variant from Russian is first proposed. translation, then the choice of an option from English. translation and finally writing English. translation.

In the settings for training, you can also:

- customize the choice of both English and Russian words;

- display or hide transcription;

- enable automatic voiceover of the English word after each selection;

- change the number of answer options when choosing words;

- save or erase the history of all unfinished lessons;

- change background color;

- choose the pronunciation of the English word (American or British).

By pressing the bottom line with the number of words, you can view all the words of the selected category(s) (word in English, its transcription and Russian translation), listen to the pronunciation of the English word.

In the category word list window, you can display only guessed words (by clicking on the green "Correct") or only incorrectly guessed words (by clicking on the red "Incorrect").

In the statistics, you can see the number of correct and incorrect answers for each category, as well as start a lesson with words with errors or all the words of the selected categories.

You can find an English or Russian word in the dictionary (depending on the selected settings).

In the settings, you can also select one of the rules for searching words in the dictionary:

- by the initial letters of the word;

- in any part of the word.

The dictionary allows (using the context menu) to edit, add and delete words, their translation, transcription and category(s).

It is permissible to enter several categories in one word, separated by commas.

You can delete the words of the selected categories or change the name of the category.

In the dictionary settings, you can select the option by which, in the case of an empty search string, all the last words that have been viewed are displayed.

By default, when the search string is empty, all words from the dictionary are displayed.

You can load words into the dictionary from an Excel file (xls extension) or a text file of a certain format:

- 1 column: English word

- 2nd column: transcription

- 3rd column: Russian translation

- 4th column: category.

For text format, the default word separator is ";".

It also allows you to export the entire dictionary (or words of only selected categories) to an Excel file or a text file of the same format.

Here, the file can be immediately sent to any user through any installed messenger or mail program.
